Built in the 70's to regulate the flow and the level of the Sambre, it is the biggest dam in Belgium and the only one that can be visited from the inside.
The visit begins with the origins and history of the site thanks to a giant model. Afterwards, you will go for a 450 meters walk in the galleries of the dam at 40 meters under the ground. You will see the four powerful reversible pump turbines, capable of a flow of 400 m³ per second, and producing electricity for 6000 families.
With easy access by elevator, the visit will end with the SkyWalk and its breathtaking panoramic view at 107 meters high from the mythical Eau d'Heure dam tower.
